FAQ
Common questions, honest answers.
Is ketamine therapy safe?+
Yes — when administered by licensed medical providers at sub-anesthetic doses in a monitored setting, ketamine therapy has an excellent safety record. We monitor vitals throughout every session.
Will I be unconscious?+
No. Ketamine therapy uses sub-anesthetic doses. You remain awake, breathing on your own, and able to communicate. Many patients describe a relaxed, dream-like state.
How quickly will I feel better?+
Many patients notice relief within hours of their first session, with cumulative benefit over the initial 6-session series. Individual response varies.
Do you accept insurance?+
We do not bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
How long does a session take?+
Door-to-door, sessions range from 60 to 120 minutes depending on the modality (IV, IM, nasal, or sublingual).
Can I drive myself home?+
No — please arrange a trusted driver. You should not drive for the rest of the day after a session.
How is ketamine different from antidepressants?+
Ketamine acts on the glutamate system and triggers rapid neuroplasticity, often producing relief within hours. Conventional antidepressants work on serotonin and typically take weeks.
What if it's not for me?+
Your free consultation is exactly for that — to make sure ketamine therapy is the right fit. There's no pressure to proceed.
